Welcome! I’m Troy Eggen, owner of Nordic Colors. I have been in the painting industry for over 35 years and along with my wife Sena, opened Nordic Colors in December of 1998. As an owner, operator, I am a hands-on contractor so you will see me out with my crew performing the actual work on every job site. Nordic Colors Painting has a solid reputation that we take very seriously.
If you’re wondering about the origin of our name, it has a story. It’s a tribute to my heritage. While I was born in South San Jose, California, I was raised in Oslo, Norway. I came back to the states at the age of eighteen.
My first job, working side-by-side with the owner of a small tile company, taught me the meaning of what it was like to be a small business owner. After a couple of years, I moved on, working for TM Painting in Freemont, where I spent the next 8 years learning the painting trade. Both companies showed me that you are only as good as the work you perform. So I chose the “hands on contractor” model for my own company, partly because I love what I do and because I get to monitor our process from estimates to finished projects. We maintain a great team of craftsman to rely on for quality workmanship.

We are hands on contractors. Therefore, as the owner, I provide estimates and participate in completing the work. We take great pride in the projects we complete and guarantee every job, so keeping our company small is our #1 key to success in maintaining our quality of work.
We got 8 estimates to paint the exterior of our home dearly this year. We pretty much had concluded we'd have to pay about $4k more than we had budgeted. We were checking out colors at Kelly Moore Paints in Windsor. I spotted Nordic Colors business card on the wall. The salesperson recommended them. Their estimate came in below all the others! They are personable and professional. The paint job is top notch. We highly recommend them for any painting job!
We had Nordic Colors paint the interior of our house. We had a couple of estimates and theirs was the lowest. After reading the 5 star reviews we chose them. They provided a colorist to assist us in choosing colors. They were on time every day, they were respectful, polite, and very professional. They cleaned up at the end of each day. The owner, Troy, showed up at the beginning and end of each day to check on the progress. Sena was so helpful and informative on the phone. The quality of the work was exceptional. We absolutely love the how the paint has transformed the look of our home! We highly recommend them!

Troy and Sena did such a great job communicating with us every step of the way and their enthusiasm about the job had us so excited. Now that it's finished I'm even more in love with the house colors than I ever imagined. When it came time to choose colors they listened to our wants and then provided several palette options. Troy and Sena are so funny and have a realistic input on styles and colors so you feel like you're making the right decisions. And after the wildfires they came by the house personally to inspect the premises in case there was ember damages. They really went above and beyond and this really impressed us because I feel like no other company would do that. A one of a kind local family business that I feel has set themselves apart. I recommend them to all my family, friends and colleagues.
It isn't often that the people doing the work are just as phenomenal as the work that they do, but that pretty much sums up my experience with Nordic Colors. This is a family run business and they are passionate and terrific at what they do. We had our dry rot repaired as well as our home painted and our home looks brand new. Do yourself a favor and go with Nordic colors!! A++++
I just had my house painted and Troy and his wife Sena they were Great and the paint job is perfect. I was going to paint my house on my own as I have done for years, but I am glad I let Nordic Colors do it and their attention to detail and them working with Me made it a pleasant experience.

From the first phone call, to the in-person survey, the quote, the actual job and follow-up at completion, everything was done with thought and attention to detail. They left the job-site tidy at the end of every day and completely cleaned up when they finished. And their pricing was very competitive. Sena and Troy, the owners, know the meaning of customer sanctification. I will hire them again as soon as I can afford to have the inside of my house painted. Cheers.

Troy and his crew from Nordic colors did a fabulous job painting our house in Windsor. It is a two story with lots of windows. They finished in the time he time given, and they did a great job cleaning up. Everyone paid close attention to details and made it look brand new. I would highly recommend them for inside and outside work on your home or business!

Nordic Colors was that great balance of speed, and precision. The attention to detail was amazing too. Their edges are something you just don’t see often with painting. Also, they even did an incredible job with a small drywall job. Our electrician had to make a hole to move some wiring, leaving a nice circle hole on the ceiling. Nordic patched up the hole, and matched the ceiling paint color perfectly (note, we didn’t have them paint the ceiling in the original job, so this patch paint job was just pure magic). Thanks again!

I couldn’t be happier with their work. As a matter of fact, we later hired them to paint the entire outside of my house - including our decks. Our exterior was a bit more complicated than our interior as it’s solid clear heart redwood and needed to be painted/stained with special material. Unfortunately the original material was no longer available, but Troy did the due diligence to research the best solution. End result: AMAZING! Our house looks like a fine piece of furniture!
I love Nordic Colors he is our family generational painter! He painted my Grandmothers house, my moms house and in the future for my own home. I would not choose anyone else ...Nordic colors! He is our family jewel of a painter!
Troy and his team did an amazing job on the interior of my home. Each day they worked hard and left my home neat and tidy. Their office manager, Sena, contacted me regularly to check on the project. I’m happy to say they finished on time and came in on budget. In addition, they provided a paint colorist to help us in choosing colors.
Troy the owner of the company was amazing. He also completed the work on my 22 year old peeling home in Santa Rosa. It looked brand new again. The guys were so clean and the price was better than I expected. I wouldn’t never use anyone else.
